Art in the museum
Tobias Post shows digital light art in museum and industrial spaces – at the Museum Westfälische Salzwelten, the Museum Wendener Hütte, the Deutsches Elektrizitätsmuseum in Recklinghausen and the compressor hall of the Kokerei Hansa in Dortmund. Several works start from the place: from the foldings of K. G. Schmidt, from the historic compressors, from the theme of a permanent exhibition. Many respond to the audience in real time via 3D sensors.

Museum Westfälische Salzwelten
For the finissage of “Hellweg Konkret III” on 14 September 2025, Tobias Post set up two immersive installations in the museum: digital art after the foldings of K. G. Schmidt, taking up the movement imagined in them.

Kokerei Hansa — Giants and Art
In the compressor hall, the group of works BRUTAL VERDREHT takes up the rotation, compression and flow of the historic compressors. Tobias Post is also part of the curatorial team of the BBK Westfalen group exhibition.

In the vaulted cellar of the former steam boiler house, the immersive work DornenstaubII was on show – presented together with the painting series VERLUST in the BBK exhibition “Synthese”.

The German Museum of Electricity
At a Christmas event at the Deutsches Elektrizitätsmuseum, Tobias Post showed BRUCHKANTE KONKRET: a work on the edge of Concrete Art that takes up the theme of electricity in the substation in graphic form.

Announced for 17 October 2026: at the Ferromone family festival of the Westfälische Salzwelten, 23 works will be on view, nine of them crystal works on the theme of the permanent exhibition “Das weiße Wunder”.

Salt lies in the ground in deposits and bands – “Adern” translates this into crystal bands through which pulses run. Developed from the theme of the Salzwelten.

Wismut
The Salzwelten show crystal lattices under salt microscopes; “Wismut” makes the rule by which a lattice grows visible as a staircase – with oxide colours that change with the viewing angle.
A possible exhibition
Visualisations of fictional spaces – not realised projects. They show how existing works could stand in a museum space and do not represent a collaboration with any particular museum.
